When Your Immune System Stops Knowing What to Ignore
By the time someone reaches Phase 2, the body has often spent months or years living in a protective state. During that time, the immune system adapts to an environment that feels uncertain. Instead of responding only when genuine danger is present, it can become increasingly reactive to everyday experiences.
Foods that were once well tolerated begin causing symptoms. Environmental exposures become more noticeable. Digestion grows less predictable. Inflammation seems easier to trigger and slower to resolve. Many people describe feeling as though their body is constantly “on edge,” even when they cannot identify a clear reason why.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the immune system is malfunctioning. More often, it means it has become difficult to calm.
