The Science Behind The Book: Healing In Order
This website is the living companion to Healing in Order.
Its purpose is to follow the research as it develops and translate new findings through the same physiological framework introduced in the book. As new studies emerge, they will be examined for what they add to our understanding of the Ettinger Foundation Protocol (EFP), its six phases, the physiological hierarchy that organizes them, and the foundational practices that support recovery from the bottom up.
The book provides the architecture. This website follows the evidence as that architecture continues to be tested, refined, and expanded.
Here you will find current research (BLOG) related to autonomic regulation, immune and gut stability, circadian biology, mitochondrial function, structural adaptation, recovery capacity, and long-term resilience. The goal is not to chase every new study or trend. It is to identify research that meaningfully advances the central question behind Healing in Order:
How does the body regulate, recover, and rebuild when its systems are supported in the biological sequence they require?
You will also find expanded educational material on the six phases of the EFP, the physiological relationships between those phases, and practical concepts introduced in the book that deserve deeper exploration than a printed manuscript can provide.
Healing in Order is intentionally a finished book. This website is not.
It is where the science can continue moving.
For readers, it provides a way to go deeper, revisit concepts, and follow new discoveries as they emerge. For practitioners, it offers an evolving body of research that can help sharpen the clinical reasoning behind sequencing, readiness, proportionality, and recovery.
The central framework remains the same:
The body is not a collection of isolated systems. It is an organized biological hierarchy.
Understanding that hierarchy changes how chronic illness is interpreted.
Understanding the sequence changes how recovery is approached.
And as the research continues to evolve, this website will document what we learn next.
